Samsung unveils 2026 monitors with 6K 3D, 1040Hz & DisplayPort 2.1

27 Dec 2025 | Rasmus Larsen |

Ahead of CES 2026, Samsung has unveiled a new 4K QD-OLED monitor and multiple new LCD monitors, including its second-generation 3D monitors and a 1040Hz gaming monitor.

The company's second-generation glasses-free 3D monitor – 32-inch G90XH – still relies on a slower LCD panel but bumps resolution up to 6K. It supports 165Hz at 6K resolution or 330Hz at half resolution.

We had hoped to see Samsung switch from LCD to the dramatically improved 3D OLED panel that we saw showcased at CES 2025, but we will have to wait longer for that.

Other new 2026 Samsung monitors

Another new 2026 monitor is the 27-inch G60H, which advertises a 600Hz refresh rate at its native QHD resolution or 1040Hz at 720p. This LCD monitor supports both AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync. Still, we expect the newly announced 720Hz OLED monitors to deliver better motion for the reasons outlined in this article. In the G8 series, Samsung will add a 32-inch G80HS LCD monitor with 6K resolution and 165Hz refresh (or 330Hz in 3K) and a 27-inch G80HF LCD monitor with 5K resolution and 180Hz (or 360Hz in QHD).

QD-OLED with DisplayPort 2.1

Finally, Samsung unveiled the 32-inch G80SH QD-OLED monitor with 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. This monitor is confirmed to support 80Gbps DisplayPort 2.1 bandwidth (UHBR20). It also supports USB-C with up to 98W charging and is certified for DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 and HDR10+ Gaming. Of all the 2026 monitors announced, this will deliver the best overall picture quality and is the only one that delivers HDR pictures. We are expecting additional OLED monitors from Samsung in 2026, including a 27-inch 4K 240Hz G80SH also with DisplayPort 2.1 and Samsung's first with a WOLED panel from LG Display, so look out for additional announcements at CES 2026 in January or later.
