Following the announcement of OLED and QD-OLED with RGB-stripe pixels from LG Display and from Samsung Display, Asus and MSI have unveiled the first actual monitors using these panels.
We already had a photo of LG DIsplay's RGB-stripe OLED pixels:

Now, Asus and MSI's announcements have provided us with a view of the 'V-Stripe' RGB pixels in 2026 QD-OLED.
As you can see clearly, the new pixel layout significantly improves text clarity, eliminating color fringing. This opens the door for QD-OLED panels to be used in applications beyond gaming and media. It should also reduce picture clarity in general as well as color accuracy.

First RGB-stripe QD-OLED monitors
Two of the first QD-OLED monitors with RGB-stripe are MSI's MPG 341CQR X36 and MEG X, the latter adding "AI" features (AI Tracker, AI Gauge, AI Vision+, AI Scene, AI Goggle, and AI Scope).
Both are 34-inch monitors with 3440x1440 resolution in a 21:9 aspect ratio, which is the only 2026 QD-OLED panel with RGB-stripe announced so far – also known as 5th generation QD-OLED. Both monitors from MSI support 360Hz and the new 'DarkArmor' film for deeper blacks and reduced color tint, as this film is part of the 2026 QD-OLED panel from Samsung Display.

Asus announced PG34WCDN and XG34WCDMS as its first QD-OLED monitors with RGB-stripe, again both 34 inches in size with 3440x1440 resolution and the same improved film for deeper blacks and reduced color tint, which Asus calls 'BlackShield'.
- "Opt for the PG34WCDN to get up to 360Hz, enjoying an incredible 34-inch, 360Hz RGB stripe QD-OLED screen, or go with the XG34WCDMS and get a sky-high 280Hz refresh rate with a 0.03ms minimum GTG response time. Either monitor will give you incredibly fluid, silky-smooth imagery in your favorite games. Both monitors feature 99% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, true 10-bit color, and Delta E <2 color accuracy so your games’ colors are as radiant and true to life as possible. VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black compliance works in conjunction with the monitors’ BlackShield film to keep your darkest imagery suitably rich and inky," announced Asus.
Both monitors feature DisplayPort (DP 2.1 in PG34WCDN and DP1.4 in XG34WCDMS), an HDMI 2.1 port and USB-C; 90W with PG34WCDN or 15W with XG34WCDMS.
First RGB-stripe OLED monitor
In addition, Asus unveiled PG27UCWM. It is the first monitor built on LG Display's new 27-inch RGB-stripe OLED panel.
It features 4K resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio (3840x2160 pixels) and 240Hz, or 480Hz in Full HD through a dual mode. It also features HDR support (including Dolby Vision), 99% DCI-P3 and 0.03ms response time. It can be connected to a PC over DisplayPort 2.1A (80Gbps) or HDMI 2.1.
Asus also claims that the switch from RGWB to RGB pixels increases color volume by 27%.
Expect many more new OLED monitors at CES 2026 this week. Stay tuned.
