At CES 2026, LG has officially revived its 'wallpaper OLED' with the W6 featuring a wireless connection box and an improved 2026 Tandem WOLED panel with 'Hyper Radiant Color'.
Details on LG W6 (and G6) had already leaked, but now it is official.
First introduced in 2017 as W7 and discontinued in 2020 with WX, W6 is a sleek OLED TV measuring just 9.9mm in depth. This makes it thicker than the original wallpaper OLED, which however was prone to breaking.
All cables, except power, must be connected to a redesigned version of the external Zero Connect Box, which connects wirelessly to W6 from up to 10 meters away. The box is 35% smaller than last year.
- "The Wallpaper TV represents the beautiful convergence of our True Wireless leadership, form factor innovation and 13 years of OLED mastery," said Park Hyoung-sei, president of LG Media Entertainment. "LG continues to raise the bar for OLED TVs, setting the standard for what’s next."

2026 OLED with Hyper Radiant tech
In addition to W6, LG's press announcement mentions G6 in the footnotes. Both feature LG Display's 2026 Tandem WOLED panel, officially unveiled a few hours ago.
This panel delivers higher brightness and reduced reflections due to a new film. LG Electronics has come up with its own names for these improvements. it refers to them as 'Hyper Radiant Color Technology' and 'Brightness Booster Ultra', which is up to 3.9 brighter (3% window) than LG's B-series. We are guessing around 3000 nits – confirmation will come after testing later this year.
LG said that W6 also features an Alpha 11 Gen3 processor with a 'Dual AI Engine', the Gallery+ art store, 4K 165Hz support, Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync, HDMI 2.1 (not HDMI 2.2), webOS 26, and all of the other features that LG OLED TVs are known for.
W6 is obviously a TV for the more design-oriented crowd. FlatpanelsHD will bring you confirmed details on LG's G6 and C6 OLED models very soon.
LG W6 will be available only in 77 and 83 inches. It replaces LG's M-series.
