With Samsung shunning Dolby Vision entirely and LG skipping Dolby Vision 2 for its 2026 models, Philips will be the first TV brand to bring Dolby Vision 2 support to OLED TVs.
The confirmation came from Dolby at CES 2026.
- "TP Vision's Philips' 2026 OLED TV sets plan to feature Dolby Vision 2, including the new 2026 Philips OLED811, OLED911 series and its flagship OLED951," said Dolby.
Dolby Vision 2 was announced in September 2025 with a new image engine, Content Intelligence and additional adaptive picture features, going beyond HDR. You can learn more in our Q&A with Dolby on Dolby Vision 2 here.
Three TV brands confirmed
The confirmation regarding Philips follows Dolby Vision 2 being announced for Hisense's 2026 LCD TVs with RGB miniLED (UXS, UR9S, UR8S), with additional mid-range Hisense 2026 models also getting Dolby Vision 2. It will be added via a firmware update.
TCL's 2026 flagship, X11L, and 2026 C-series will also get Dolby Vision 2 support, with TCL confirming Dolby Vision 2 Max for at least X11L. It will again be added via a firmware update later in 2026.
Sony and Panasonic have yet to announce 2026 models.
2026 Philips OLED TVs
Philips is not attending CES 2026, so full details on its 2026 lineup will have to wait, but it is clear that OLED811 will succeed last year's well-received OLED810, while OLED911 replaces OLED910, and OLED951 takes over from OLED950.
It seems plausible that OLED911 and OLED951 will feature the 2026 Tandem WOLED panel, similar to LG's G6 and C6H.

Support for Dolby Vision 2 also all but confirms that Philips will upgrade to MediaTek's Pentonic 800. The chip supports up to four HDMI 2.1 ports – up from two in current Philips models. It also supports new AI-based picture enhancement features.
Philips is expected to unveil its full 2026 TV lineup in the coming months.
