After announcing its first TVs and speakers with Dolby's wireless audio platform, FlexConnect, at CES 2026, LG is now rolling out an update for select 2025 models.
FlatpanelsHD told you in December to expect the software update. And here it is.
LG announced that the software update is rolling out now to the 2025 G5 and C5 (including CS5) OLED models in addition to the 2026 models. The update is also available for the 2025 QNED9M LCD model.
Wireless Dolby Atmos
With Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, when supported by both the TV and the speakers, a soundbar, subwoofer and/or additional front or rear speakers can connect wirelessly to the TV to deliver Dolby Atmos audio.
According to LG, up to four speakers plus one subwoofer can be connected. LG is also launching its first Dolby Atmos FlexConnect-enabled soundbar (M7), compact speakers (M5, M7) and a subwoofer (W7), as reported here.

TCL's newer TVs also support FlexConnect, which competes with other wireless TV audio platforms such as Sonos, DTS Play-Fi and Samsung's Q-Symphony. Over time, FlexConnect may allow speakers from other brands to be connected, but at launch it appears to be limited to same-brand pairings.

LG previously added support for WiSA, but this wireless audio platform has failed to gain traction.
You are looking for software version 33.30.92 or 33.30.80 currently rolling out globally. You can check the update section on your TV or download it manually from your local LG support page and install it via a USB thumb drive.
