Sony's first launch of the year is the Bravia 3 II and Bravia 2 II TV models, along with audio products such as Theatre Bar 7, Theatre Bar 5 and Theatre Rear 9. Additional TVs will follow later in 2026.
Sony is preparing its first LCD TVs with RGB LED backlight, seemingly the Bravia 9 II and Bravia 7 II. These are expected to be marketed as 'True RGB'. All of this will happen ahead of Sony's TV/AV business being taken over by TCL next year.
Before that, however, Sony is launching more affordable TV models.
Bravia 3 II and Bravia 2 II
Bravia 3 II (mark 2), which replaces Bravia 3, is an LCD TV available in sizes from 43 to 100 inches. It is the first time Sony offers such large sizes in a mid-range model.
Compared to its predecessor, Bravia 3 II now features a 120Hz LCD panel and HDMI 2.1 for PlayStation 5 gaming up to 4K120. All four HDMI ports are now HDMI 2.1, as Sony has upgraded to the MediaTek Pentonic 800 chip.

Sony said that Bravia 3 II also features a direct LED backlight (without zone dimming), PlayStation features, the XR Processor, Dolby Vision and Atmos as well as various Calibrated modes (Netflix, Prime, Sony Picture Core) – previously reserved for higher-end models.
The other new model is Bravia 2 II, which becomes Sony's most affordable option. It offers 4K resolution and a design similar to Bravia 3 II, but is limited to a 60Hz LCD panel. Specifications and further details can be found in the TV database below.
These TVs will compete with midrange models from other brands that are increasingly adopting miniLED.

While Philips has abandoned Google TV this year, Sony is sticking with the platform.
- "We look forward to sharing more excitement with you over the next couple of months," Sony said after the presentation.
New soundbars from Sony
Sony also unveiled new soundbars, Bravia Theatre 5 (3.1-channel) and Theatre Bar 7 (nine speaker units). Bar 7 replaces HT-A3000 and now includes Sony's 360 Spatial Sound technology, which can position 'phantom speakers' in the room.

Bar 7 will be sold with or without a bundled subwoofer, while Bar 5 comes with a subwoofer included. Rear speakers and additional subwoofers can be purchased separately and connected wirelessly to Bar 7, similar to Sonos. Both soundbars support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and include Voice Zoom 3, Sony's feature for enhanced dialog.

New subwoofers and dual-sub support
To pair with the soundbars, Sony is launching two new subwoofers, Bravia Theatre Sub 9 (600W) and Sub 8 (300W), replacing SW5 and SW3.
In 2026, it will be possible to connect up to two subwoofers to a Sony soundbar. A dual-sub update will also be released soon for last year's Bar 8 and Bar 9.
New rear speakers, Bravia Theatre Rear 9, are also being introduced, replacing RS5. They level up the movie viewing experience with Dolby Atmos through built-in drivers and upward-firing units, and connect wirelessly to Sony soundbars.
Sony's new audio products are available for pre-order starting today, while the TVs launch in mid-May.
