After several months of delay, Fight Club is finally available in 4K, nearly completing director David Fincher's work to restore his classics.
Fight Club was originally set for a 4K release last year to mark its 25th anniversary, but the process of scanning the 35mm film reels and restoring the film took apparently longer than expected.
This week, the film has arrived in 4K with Dolby Vision HDR and 5.1 Dolby surround sound. For now, the 4K version is available only on the Apple TV app, but Amazon, Fandango and Rakuten typically follow not long after.
Fight Club will be released on UHD Blu-ray starting in mid-May with 4K HDR10 and 5.1 DTS-HD MA audio.

David Fincher's films
Director David Fincher has overseen the restoration of Fight Club. Several of his other classics were released in 4K last year, including Se7en, Zodiac and Panic Room.
Alien 3 and The Game are still missing.
Fight Club is a cult classic and is today regarded as one of the greatest films ever made (top 13) according to IMDb. It stars Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter, based on the novel by Chuck Palahniuk.
The UHD Blu-ray includes bonus features. These are not yet available on Apple, but may be added at the time of the disc release.
