Samsung's first 6K monitor is the 32-inch G80HS, offering 6K resolution at up to 165Hz or 3K resolution at up to 330Hz.
Unveiled in December 2025, the monitor is now arriving in Europe with a price of €1500. It will roll out to additional regions soon, with shipping set to begin in June.
6K is the next step up from 5K monitors, popularized by Apple and more recently adopted by Acer, Asus, BenQ, LG and Samsung itself. 6K has roughly 44% more pixels than 5K given a 16:9 aspect ratio.
A dual-mode monitor
Samsung describes it as a dual-mode monitor, meaning the IPS LCD panel can operate at either 6144x3456 resolution up to 165Hz or 3072x1728 resolution up to 330Hz.
It is primarily positioned as a gaming monitor, supporting VRR technologies such as FreeSync and G-Sync. With proper calibration, however, the panel should also suit users working with text, coding or graphics. It can be connected over DisplayPort 2.1 or HDMI 2.1. There is also a USB 3.2 hub.
The monitor supports HDR10+, but without local dimming the IPS LCD cannot deliver HDR pictures, and it will not match OLED monitors in overall picture quality or motion clarity.
Second 6K monitor later this year
Later this year, Samsung will launch its second 6K monitor: the G90XH, which uses the same 6K IPS LCD panel but adds glasses-free 3D via an eye-tracking camera.
This is part of Samsung's push to revive 3D gaming.
