Walmart's Onn 4K Pro looks a lot like the Google TV Streamer but is cheaper while still featuring Google TV, 4K, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and an Ethernet port.
After many leaks, the new streaming box is now listed on Walmart's website for $60.
Powered by Google TV, it provides access to the same streaming apps and Google features including Gemini.

Hardware is OK
While the Walmart Onn 4K Pro is newer and comes with some upgrades over the Google TV Streamer, such as Wi-Fi 6 versus Wi-Fi 5 plus a backlit remote, it has weaker SoC; an Amlogic S905X5M with only 3GB of RAM versus 4GB on the Google TV Streamer. They both have 32GB of storage.
The weak hardware was one of our main concerns when we tested the Google TV Streamer in 2024, which carries a list price of $100 but if typically sold a little cheaper.
Onn 4K Pro still supports 4K, HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It also supports Dolby Atmos decoding. It is equipped with HDMI, USB, Matter over Thread and far-field microphones to for handsfree Google Gemini.

Onn Google TV devices
In addition, Walmart is launching a new streaming stick called the Onn 4K. As the name suggests, it supports 4K but also HDR10 and HDR10+.
Confusingly, it is listed with Dolby Atmos support in Walmart's own comparison table (below) but without Atmos on its website. It is only $40 but be prepared for ads on the Google TV homescreen and extensive collection of your viewing data merged with data on your Walmart shopping habits.
Walmart's Google TV devices are alternatives to the Google TV Streamer and a sort of replacement for the discontinued Chromecast. They compete with devices like Apple TV 4K, Roku, FireTV and Nvidia Shield.
