TCL CSOT reveals 130" LCD, foldable OLED monitor and 131% BT.2020 display

TCL CSOT is demonstrating its latest LCD and OLED technologies at SID Display Week 2026, including panels destined for TCL's next-generation TV models.

One of the highlights at this year's edition of the annual display conference in Los Angeles is the world's largest LCD TV panel.

The 130-inch panel "breaks traditional LCD size boundaries and redefines large-format design with an ultra-slim 29.8 mm profile", TCL CSOT said. The announcement confirms that TCL CSOT is the manufacturer behind the panel first announced for Samsung's 130-inch 'Micro RGB' LCD TV. It features 4K resolution – not 8K.

We expect TCL Electronics to also launch a 130-inch model in the future, although the size is expected to remain expensive, even as prices for 115-inch TVs are starting to decline.

Foldable 28" OLED monitor

TCL CSOT is currently constructing the world's first 8.6G factory for inkjet-printed OLED panels, and it continues to tease what the new production technology will enable. It is now showcasing an inkjet-printed tri-fold OLED panel that can transform from a 16-inch display into an expansive 28-inch ultrawide monitor. It is said to be more energy efficient than current OLED monitors due to its larger pixel aperture (50–60%) and features RGB-stripe pixels. The Chinese display maker is also aiming to challenge the Korean companies in smaller OLED devices such as smartphones and tablets, although these panels will not be inkjet printed.

LCD with RGBC LED backlight

Additionally, TCL CSOT showcased what could become the LCD panel for TCL's next-generation LCD TVs in 2027 or later. The 85-inch WHVA LCD panel sits an RGBC LED backlight, adding a fourth cyan LED to the red, green and blue LEDs used in the 2026 flagship LCD TVs from Hisense, LG, Samsung, Philips and TCL itself. For comparison, the best displays today are in the 90% BT.2020 range. Full BT.2020 coverage combined with 10,000 nits (peak brightness was not specified for this panel) would finally allow TVs to fully deliver on modern HDR video standards such as HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, although movies, series and games are not yet mastered to this level. Hisense claims the technology can deliver 110% BT.2020 when it debuts later this year a 116-inch 116UXS flagship LCD TV.
