Apple TV app arrives on Philips TVs with Titan OS

The Titan OS platform, used in all new Philips TV models, has gained the Apple TV app with support for 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

This year, Philips decided to fully abandon Google TV in favor of Titan OS, after gradually introducing Titan OS in it inexpensive models since 2024. This also includes the 2026 OLED TVs.

Titan OS still has some gaps in app support, but the team behind the platform has said that expanding the app catalog is a priority. Over the last couple of years, it has added Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, Disney+, YouTube and not least Netflix. Several local and regional apps have also emerged.


Apple TV now available
With the addition of the Apple TV app, Titan OS now offers all of the major US streaming services, unless SkyShowtime is included in the count. SkyShowtime is expected to arrive later this year.

The Apple TV app provides access to Apple's streaming service with series such as Cape Fear, For All Mankind, Ted Lasso, Silo, Severance and Widow's Bay as well as movies including F1 The Movie and Killers of the Flower Moon.


New and older Philips TVs
The Apple TV app for Titan OS is supported on Philips TV models from 2026 and 2025 as well as some models from 2024. The app supports 4K, HDR10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, Philips told FlatpanelsHD. All Apple Originals are available in 4K HDR.

Flatpanels does not have access to Titan OS at this time and we have not received confirmation on whether Apple's catalog of movies for purchase and rental is also available. The Apple TV app on third-party platforms does not always offer access to the movie store.

Titan OS is used mainly by Philips, but it is also found in TVs from AOC and JVC.
