TCL's high-end 2026 LCD TVs rely on either 'SQD-miniLED' and RGB LED backlights, while miniLED is making its way into more affordable ranges. The TVs are now available in the US, the UK and elsewhere.
A few of the TVs arrived early in North America right after CES, but the wider 2026 lineup is coming now.
It includes the flagship X11L with SQD-miniLED, RM9L and RM7L with RGB LED, and C8L and C7L both featuring SQD-miniLED as successors to last year's C8K and C7K. MiniLED also expands into TCL's more affordable LCD TV ranges including the P-series for the first time with P8L.
TCL is now the world's second-largest TV maker, behind Samsung, and its 2026 lineup reflects a strategy built around different LCD backlight technologies. TCL has yet to launch OLED TVs, although the company is currently building a major OLED production facility – initially focused on smaller OLED panels.
TCL's new TVs are available in sizes up to 115 inches (center), shown here alongside the 98-inch and 85-inch models.
Available now around the world
TCL will not take control of Sony's TV business until next year, so further details on that transition are still pending.
As for TCL's 2026 models, they are now available in North America, Europa and other regions. As usual, the lineup launches at relatively high prices, but we expect significant price reductions later this year and into next year – likely exceeding 50%.
