The TV have arrived in the US, the UK and other regions, kicking off Hisense's push into 'RGB miniLED' alongside more affordable LCD TVs with miniLED.
The Chinese brand is steadily establishing its name across North America and Europe.
Together with TCL, Hisense is taking over much the same way South Korea's LG and Samsung did over 15 years ago. First came the budget models, and now Hisense is introducing new high-end LCD TV technology in the form of RGB LED.
RGB LED at accessible prices
The flagship models, UR9S and UR8S, both feature 'RGB-miniLED'. That is, an LCD panel with a RGB LED backlight to expand the color gamut for use with HDR content. The primary difference between the two models is the number of dimming zones, which remains the decisive factor for picture quality in LCD TVs.
UR9S and UR8S launch in sizes from 55 to 100 inches. They will be among the first TVs to support Dolby Vision 2 following a software update later this year.
Hisense UR9S
Hisense's other new and more affordable miniLED LCD TVs – without red, green and blue LEDs – have also arrived in the form of the U7S Pro, U7S, U6S and E8S ranges. These also launch in sizes up to 100 inches, all with 4K resolution – Hisense abandoned 8K several years ago.
In addition, budget LCD models in the E7 and A ranges are also launching now. In Europe, Hisense uses its own Vidaa platform, while in the US it uses either Google TV or Fire TV.
Hisense has had a single OLED model for several years, but the company is not prioritizing the technology.
Available now
Hisense's 2026 TV models are gradually making their way into stores across the world these weeks. Some of the 100-inch models and a flagship Hisense UXS will arrive later in 2026.
The TVs compete primarily with TCL's equivalent models, 'micro RGB' and 'QLED' from Samsung, 'True RGB' from Sony and 'micro RGB' and 'QNED' from LG.
