Samsung launches its first WOLED monitor and two new QD-OLEDs

10 Jul 2026 | Rasmus Larsen |

The two G80SH monitors feature QD-OLED while the slightly more affordable G73SH is Samsung's first monitor with a WOLED panel from LG Display. The monitors are now available.

G80SH was unveiled at CES, and just over half a year later it has arrived in stores around the world in 27 and 32 inch sizes. Both are flat monitors with 3840x2160 (4K) resolution in 16:9 format and 240Hz.

They feature a 4th generation QD-OLED panel, meaning not the latest generation with RGB-stripe pixels. The monitors are designed for gaming and media consumption, where the triangular pixel structure is less of an issue. They support HDR10+ Gaming and have both HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 (80Gbps) as well as USB-C with 98W power delivery.

Both come with a 2-year warranty that also covers burn-in, Samsung stated, and feature matte screen coatings.

The rumor turned out to be true and Samsung is now also selling monitors equipped with WOLED panels from rival LG Display. Samsung's OLED TVs similarly use a mix of QD-OLED and WOLED panels. LG has not yet returned the favor, but rumor has it that LG will launch its first QD-OLED monitor in the second half of the year. Samsung's G73SH with WOLED features 3840x2160 resolution, 165Hz (or 330Hz in 1080p) and HDR10+ Gaming support. It is flat and covered by the same 2-year burn-in warranty. G73SH does not have RGB stripe pixels either. It is marketed as a gaming monitor. The Koreans are staying ahead by betting on OLED rather than LCD.

Samsung's many OLED monitors

G80SH and G73SH (H = 2026) join Samsung's already extensive portfolio of OLED monitors, with several existing models remaining on the market in 2026. The three new monitors launch at high price points, but we have started to see significant price drops on OLED monitors during sale periods – we expect good deals on Black Friday.
