Bravia 6 is joining Sony's 2026 lineup under the slogan "OLED essentials, now within reach" in 48, 55, 65, 77 and, at long last, 83 inches.
The Japanese TV maker has today officially announced Bravia 6, designed to bring self-emissive OLED technology to lower price points with mid-range 6-series TVs.
The TVs use WOLED panels, possibly the new, cheaper OLED SE panel, although this remains unverified. Either way, they should excel in black level, contrast, luminance control and motion (including 120Hz), but not match high-end OLED TVs and RGB LED LCD TVs in color and peak brightness. 83" Sony OLED returns
Sony has not offered an 83-inch OLED TV since the 2023 A80L, which was discontinued some time ago. The current Bravia 8 (WOLED) tops out at 77 inches, while Bravia 8 II (QD-OLED) is available in sizes up to 65 inches only.
As for speculation that Sony is in the process of abandoning OLED, the company denied it:
- "As Sony continues to innovate in picture and sound quality, the company remains committed to delivering a full lineup of televisions designed to meet a variety of viewing preferences and entertainment needs."
Featuring four HDMI 2.1 ports
Unlike Sony's 2026 'True RGB' models, Bravia 9 II and Bravia 7 II, Bravia 6 has been upgraded to the Pentonic 800 system chip with four HDMI 2.1 ports supporting 4K120 with game consoles such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
It also supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X as well as HDMI 2.1 features including VRR, ALLM and eARC.

Like Sony's other models, Bravia 6 runs Google TV with access to streaming apps such as Disney+, Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV and Sony Pictures Core.
Bravia 6 will launch in 48, 55, 65, 77 and 83 inches, but available sizes will vary by region. In the US, Bravia 6 costs $1300 (48"), $1500 (55"), $2000 (65"), $3000 (77") and $4000 (83").
