Panasonic recommits to US market, unveils 2026 TV lineup

28 Aug 2026 | Rasmus Larsen |

Panasonic remains committed to the US market and is now launching an expanded range of 2026 TV models including its first lifestyle TV.

Some had feared that Panasonic would once again pull out of the North American TV market after the announcement in February that China's Skyworth will take over production, sales and marketing of Panasonic TVs.

In a joint press release, Panasonic and Skyworth put those concerns to rest.

- "The 2026 lineup significantly expands the ways U.S. consumers can experience Panasonic TV – from our flagship OLED picture and sound to bright-room Mini-LED performance, lifestyle design and straightforward smart entertainment. Each series is focused on meaningful picture quality, intuitive use and the features viewers value most," said Jake (Yukio) Hirose, Vice President, Skyworth USA.

Like in Europe, the flagship Z95B OLED will carry over in the US. New models include the W87C lifestyle TV, W85C Mini-LED LCD as well as the more affordable W80C, W75C and S65C series. Some of these models had already been announced for Europe, confirming that Panasonic/Skyworth will at least partially retain a pan-European/North American TV lineup, which is good news. Panasonic will offer models with Fire TV, Google TV and Roku TV. - "Building on the successful introduction of the products in 2025 with two series, the portfolio now expands to six series for 2026," the company said. "The lifestyle-focused W87C introduces Art Time, blending the screen into a decorative feature when not in use." There was no mention of plans to launch the more affordable Z85C/Z86C OLED models in the US. The 55-inch W87C lifestyle TV is priced at $600 while the W85C miniLED LCD starts at $550 in 55 inches. Here is a snapshot of the 2026 Panasonic TV lineup for the US. The additional models will soon be added to FlatpanelsHD's TV database.
