The Berliner Philharmoniker app now streams both live and archived concerts in Dolby Atmos immersive audio for viewers to enjoy at home via Apple TV, Google TV, Smart TVs and more.
Each season, over 40 concerts are broadcast live from the Berliner Philharmoniker concert hall and then offered on-demand. There are currently hundreds of concerts available, along with interviews and films.
- "From the start of the 2026/27 season, we now offer Immersive Audio (Dolby Atmos) not only for archived concerts, but also for our live streams from the Main Auditorium of the Philharmonie Berlin," Berlin Phil Media GmbH announced.

How to watch the concerts in Dolby Atmos
Some of the concerts were already available in 4K resolution, but Dolby Atmos is a bigger upgrade for concerts, where sound is arguably more important than picture quality.
- "Dolby Atmos, which is supported by a wide range of devices from headphones to home cinema systems with multiple speakers, allows you to enjoy the Berliner Philharmoniker's concerts in three-dimensional sound," they said.
The Berliner Philharmoniker app is already available on most popular TV platforms, and it supports Dolby Atmos on tvOS (Apple TV), Amazon Fire TV, Google TV as well as newer Smart TVs from LG (webOS), Samsung (Tizen) and Panasonic. Atmos is also supported on iOS and Android as well as macOS with Safari.
The Berliner Philharmoniker subscription costs $20 / €17 per month after a 7-day free trial.
