People of Lava Scandinavia is the first Android TV

We hear a lot about Google TV (or Android TV) at the moment and the Swedes are now ready to launch the world's first Android-based TV. The company People of Lava has presented their so-called Scandinavia TV at IFA 2010.FlatpanelsHD will be in Berlin to cover the world’s largest consumer electronics fair IFA 2010. Starting September 1 through September 10 you can read all about the new products and electronics trends here on FlatpanelsHD. Check out the front page or our IFA 2010 Coverage site. Based on Google Android
People of Lava is a Swedish manufacturer of flat panel TVs and their new TV called Scandinavia is the first TV based on the Google TV platform to hit the market.
Android TV - or Google TV – is Google’s version of a video solution. Here, content will be available from the internet and you will be able to search across different platforms. Content should be available whenever the users wants it and therefore the user will not have to rely on the fixed program schedule from the TV stations. And most content will be free, Google says.
People of Lava wants to integrate this concept in their Scandinavia TV even before Google has their own product in stores. And we can expect interesting functionality such as Apps like we know them from the Android mobile operating system.
People of Lava has also integrated the internet-browser from Google that lets you explore the internet freely.
Services such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Webmail, Google Maps have been mentioned. See the introduction video below.People and Lava Scandinavia
