Samsung's new E8000, E7000 & E6500 plasma-TVs

Besides their gorgeous OLED-TV and their new LED models, Samsung has unveiled a range of new plasma TV ranges for 2012. The high-end E8000 comes with improved black level performance, Smart TV and 3D. Samsung also introduces the E7000 and E6500 plasma-TVs.

Samsung E8000 plasma TV

2012 is all about Smart TVs and Samsung’s plasma TVs will incorporate the new, updated Smart TV platform with TV apps and much more. E8000 even comes with a touch-pad remote and the Smart Interaction suite with voice and gesture control. This is possible through the integrated camera/microphone.

The new models also offer 3D capabilities and are compatible with Samsung’s new 3D glasses. Samsung claims a 10 percent improvement in black depth for their flagship E8000 range and teases even better picture quality compared to the 2011 models.

Samsung’s E8000 plasma-TVs will be available in 51, 59 and 64 inches called PN51E8000, PN59E8000 and PN64E8000.

Pricing and availability details have not been confirmed. We expect the models to arrive in March, though.
