Sharp has unveiled a new flagship 9 series for 2012. It will be available this summer in 60 and 70 inches (LC-60LE945U and LC-70LE945U) with direct LED, local dimming, 3D, the new Quad Pixel Plus II panel, and Sharp’s SmartCentral.
Sharp 9 series TVs
Sharp introduced 8, 7 and 6 range TVs at CES, and details of a 9 series has surfaced, too. Sharp has not revealed the entire specifications list but the 9 series is one to look out for when it arrives later this year with a slim and elegant design that packs Sharp’s most advanced TV technology.
Sharp 70-inch LC-70LE945U
The 9 series will reuse some of the elements that made the Elite X5 model one of the best LCD-TVs available, and incorporate a full array LED backlight with local dimming to enable extremely deep black levels. The 9 series TVs also use Sharp’s new Quad Pixel Plus II panel (with full HD resolution), active 3D with shutter-glasses and a 240 Hz system with scanning backlights for improved motion resolution.
Sharp SmartCentral
In addition to the picture technologies, Sharp has integrated their all-new SmartCentral Hub with access to apps such as Netflix, Hulu, CinemaNow and YouTube, as well as DLNA services and a new Beamzit media sharing tool that lets iOS and Android smartphone and tablet users wirelessly send photos, music and video to a 2012 Sharp TV.

Sharp also mentions built-in Wi-Fi and 5 HDMI inputs.
Sharp’s 9 series TVs will be available this summer in 60 and 70 inches called LC-60LE945U and LC-70LE945U. Pricing details have not been disclosed. We will keep you updated.
