Philips has released the first information on their 2012 TV line-up. The high-end models have not been revealed but Philips has shared details on new 7000, 6000, 4000 and 3000 TV ranges, most with elegant, slim design, Smart TV functionality, 3D and more.
Philips 2012 TVs
Philips 2012 TVs have been detailed for the first time. The new 7000 series has an elegant design with a very slim bezel and will be available in 40, 46 and 55 inch sizes called 40PFL7007, 46PFL7007 and 55PFL7007.

Philips’ new 7000 TV series
The 7000 series offers Philips’ Smart TV platform with DLNA and YouTube, as well as two-sided Ambilight. The technical specifications list also mentions active 3D (and 2D conversion), a 20W speaker system, 5 HDMI ports, WiFi and cable Ethernet. 800 Hz CMR and Pixel Precise HD is also mentioned.

Philips’ new 6000 TV series
The slightly cheaper 6000 series will be available in 32, 37, 42 and 55 inches called 32PFL6007, 37PFL6007, 42PFL6007 and 55PFL6007. It comes with two-sided Ambilight, passive 3D technology that utilized inexpensive polarized 3D glasses, Smart TV, 12W speakers and four HDMi inputs. Philips’ 3D TVs will offer two-person full-screen view on the same panel.
The mid-range 4000 series comes in 32, 37, 42 and 47 inches. It has no 3D but still offers Smart T functionality, four HDMI and built-in WiFi.

Philips’ new 3500 TV series
A 3500 series with Smart TV is also mentioned, as well as a 3000 series without 3D and without Smart TV.
