Back at CES 2012, Sony announced two new Google TV boxes. Back then they told us to expect Google TV in Europe in “early summer 2012” but the launch date seems to have slipped to September 2012, according to French Les Echos.

Sony released their first Google TV in 2010 but it was not a success. Sony has now abandoned the all-in-one strategy and instead they want to release 2 Google TV boxes.
Sony NSZ-GS7 with Google TV is coming in September
We were told to expect the Network Player NSZ-GS7 and Blu-ray NSZ-GP9 in North America and Europe “in early summer 2012” but Les Echos has spoken to a Sony spokesperson from France. He says that Sony is planning to release the Google TV hardware in September instead.
According to sources the hardware is expected to cost around €200 (approx. $270) and €300 (approx. $400), respectively, at launch. France, Germany, Spain, UK and the Nordic are expected to be amongst the first countries to see the hardware on store shelves.
The report also mentions the Music Unlimited service, which is obviously expected, but also Sony’s Video Unlimited service that has not launched in all European countries yet. There is also mention of Google Music as well as the Google Play app market and a dedicated Google Play button on the remote.
Google recently updated the Google TV platform with TV apps, a new user interface and support for ARM processor that are expected to improve performance and drive down production costs.
