Belkin has announced a new a new streamer called @TVPlus. The streamer box allows you to stream TV channels from your TV box to your smartphone, tablet or laptop via the internet.

Belkin is challenging Slingbox and has developed a similar streaming box that can turn your TV channels into mobile entertainment.

When set up, the box will stream your TV channels to the internet and you can access TV channels from your smartphone, tablet or laptop. It obviously requires an internet connection but you can also download some shows for later watching with the offline mode.

The box needs to be connected to your TV box at home (or any TV box with a video / audio output). Unfortunately only analog signals are supported so far due to copy protection in digital HDMI.
The app for tablets is free but the smartphone app costs 13 US dollar. Belkin’s @TVPlus streamer box will be available in the middle of July for 150 USD.
