The folks at Samsung have confirmed that they plan to unveil an 85-inch Ultra HD (4K) TV at CES 2013 in Las Vegas, besting LG, Sony and Toshiba’s 84-inch TVs. Samsung’s TV will be the world’s largest Ultra HD TV.
8 million pixels on a 85-inch panel
We have already told you about Samsung’s CES 2013 plans but news about the 85-inch Ultra HD TV comes from Samsung’s own PR division. The gigantic TV will be marketed as “the world’s largest commercialized UHD LED TV”.

Samsung’s TV will best LG, Sony and Toshiba’s 84-inch Ultra HD TVs by one inch, giving Samsung the bragging rights. Just recently Ultra HD was adopted as the official label for 4K resolution. An Ultra HD TV has more than 8 million pixels and should provide amazing picture detailing.
No other details have been shared by Samsung but we look forward to hearing – and seeing – more at CES 2013.
