LG released its first range of Google TVs in 2012, and at this year’s CES 2013 show LG will exhibit an updated line-up of Google TVs. 5 models in the GA7900 range will be available in 42-60” sizes with Google TV 3.0.

LG is one of the first TV manufacturers to release a complete Google TV based on the latest software and in 2013 they continue to push the Google TV project forward with the new GA7900 line-up of TVs.

The design is slimmer and the bezel is almost non-existent. The Google TV platform is updated to version 3.0 with new features as well as existing features such as TV apps, video streaming services and cloud game services such as OnLive. LG has also included the new Magic Motion remote with voice controlling that is coupled with the Google TV platform. For example, speak “romantic comedy” and receive a list of movies in that genre.

The TVs are obviously more than just Google TVs and also offer LG’s Edge LED based LCD panels as well as LG’s picture systems. The TVs also come with passive 3D technology that relies on the inexpensive polarized 3D glasses.
LG’s new GA7900 Google TVs will be available in the first half of 2013 in 42, 47, 50, 55 and 60 inch sizes. We will learn more at CES 2013.
A cheaper GA6400 line-up of Google TVs in two sizes will also be available.
