LG says that they focus on four control options: voice, gesture, point, and wheel. The new remote will take the voice element to the next level, LG promises, with “natural language recognition” instead of just voice commands.

The new Magic Remote has also been redesigned but the shape is largely intact. Besides the design, LG has expanded the control options. It now controls Smart TVs, set-top boxes, soundbars and Blu-ray players. The remote also features backlit buttons for easier operation in the dark.
