Samsung has now officially announced the two 55 and 65” 4K TVs with four times more pixels than conventional Full HD TVs. The TVs are members of the new F9000 series that largely resembles the F8000 on design. F9000 also has all of Samsung’s Smart TV and media features built-in, including gesture control and voice recognition. Samsung allows users to upgrade the Smart TV platform with a new Evolution Kit each year.

The TVs can upscale DVDs and Blu-rays with the built-in Quadmatic picture engine, originally developed for the 85” model. A more powerful speaker system has also been integrated. It is a 70-watt 2.2 stereo system with two subwoofers.
Samsung’s 55” UN55F9000 and 65” UN65F9000 will be available for pre-order in USA on July 21st and will ship out in August. Prices are $5,499 and $7,499, respectively.
No words on a European launch date but we suspect that Samsung’s F9000 4K series will launch during the IFA 2013 show in Berlin this September.
