One thing is crystal clear after IFA in Berlin. Every TV manufacturer has an Ultra HD TV. Grundig has also unveiled a 65-inch Ultra HD TV that will be available in early 2014. It will also be one of the cheapest 65-inch Ultra HD TVs around.
Grundig launching Ultra HD TV
Grundig was one of the big guys in the cathode ray TV days, and they are now trying to get back into the flat panel TV game. In addition to new Full HD models, Grundig will also launch its first Ultra HD TV.

Grundig’s first Ultra HD TV
The TV is made from aluminum, but technically it looks like a lot of the other Ultra HD TVs out there. Grundig is highlighting the ability to upscale SD and HD content, but also mentions an 800 Hz frame interpolation system, and Smart TV features. Grundig’s TV also supports the passive 3D technology, but there is no mention of HDMI 2.0.
Grundig’s 65" Fine Arts 65FLX9490 will be available in Europe in early 2014, and will sell for about 4500 Euro, making it the cheapest 65-inch Ultra HD TV we have seen so far. It is also considerably cheaper than the brand name TVs, even though they recently introduced significant price cuts.
