LG slashes prices on 4K and HD OLED TVs
Samsung recently cut prices on its high-end “SUHD” TVs and this appears to be LG’s answer. LG has slashes prices on its two 2015 4K OLED TVs and its HD OLED TV.4K OLED drops below $4000
LG’s 55-inch HD OLED TV – the 55EC9300 – is now available for less than $2000 as the new official price, and most retailers in the US (including Amazon & Best Buy) seem to have adjusted their price already.
LG’s 4K OLED TVs – the curved EG9600 – are now available for less than $4000 in 55 inches and less than $6000 in 65 inches. The 65-inch 4K OLED was introduced with a list price of $9000 only a few months ago. The new price cut reduces the official list price by $500 from previous $6500.
LG is the only TV manufacturer capable of mass producing OLED panels. The TVs are still some of the most expensive in the industry but they are sold with the promise perfect blacks, near-perfect viewing angles, and great colors. We should receive EG9600 for testing soon.
