Over the last few weeks, LG has been rolling out its 2017 OLED TVs across the US and Europe. B7, C7, E7 and G7 will replace LG’s successful 2016 models. Suggested retail prices start at $3000 / Ł2999 but the TVs are already selling for less.
LG B7, C7, E7 & G7 OLED
Last year, LG managed to take a large bite out of the high-end TV segment. OLED TVs deliver impressive picture quality but in 2017 LG will see increased competition. Sony, Panasonic, Philips, Loewe, Bang & Olufsen, and others are also launching 2017 OLED TVs as we speak.
LG has improved picture quality in a number of areas, including peak brightness, shadow details, HDR picture quality, and more. All of LG’s 2017 OLED ranges – from B7 to G7 – will deliver identical picture quality, the company says. Instead, the company has chosen to differentiate them on factors such as design, speakers, remote control, and some other details.
E7 and G7 feature the unique glass design. There are no curved models in this year’s line-up, meaning that C7 is now flat. All models also come with webOS 3.5 that includes apps for Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, and other streaming services.
Since the 2016 OLED TVs are still available in the market, the 2017 models compare quite unfavorably in terms of price, but we expect them to drop significantly in price throughout the year.
