Sharp's new DL and DN ranges for Europe share many similarities. Both will be available in 42 to 65 inches with 4K resolution in VA LCD panels.
Both will run Android TV with access to streaming apps like the Apple TV app, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube. There is built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant.

Sharp DN
There is a bezel but no protruding frame so Sharp likes to refer to them as frameless. It is a design approach that should make the TVs blend into living rooms. DN has a different stand design.
- "The slim TVs benefit from a smooth frameless body and stand on chic, stylish feet allowing them to blend effortlessly into the living room environment. At the same time, the minimalist frame ensures an almost limitless picture experience," the company said.

The differences lie in video and audio support. Sharp DL supports conventional audio formats and base HDR formats (HDR10, HLG). The slightly more expensive DN adds support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
The 65-inch DN and DL models also feature a more powerful 2.1 sound system developed by Harman Kardon.
Sharp's DL (sold as DL2, DL3, DL4) and DN (sold as DN3, DN4, DN5) ranges are rolling out in Europe between July and August. Specifications, pricing and further information can be found by clicking the model name in the table below.
The company also teased that it has "big news" coming later this year.
