Starting October 21, Disney+ will become more expensive in the US, now starting at $12 per month or $19 per month for the premium 4K plan.
Disney+ launched in 2019 at $7 per month. an artificially low price to get the service off the ground as a latecomer to the streaming party.
Since then, Disney+ has seen multiple price hikes and once again in October 2025 prices in the US are going up, with similar increases expected in other countries later.
New Disney+ prices
Disney+ previously raised prices in October 2024, October 2023, and December 2022. The latest increase comes in the wake of a PR storm over Disney's suspension of the Jimmy Kimmel live show.
The new prices effective October 21 are:
- Disney+: $12/mo (up from $10/mo)
- Disney+ Premium: $19/mo (up from $16/mo)
- Disney+ + Hulu bundle: $13/mo (up from $13/mo)

Disney+ is not the only streaming service getting pricier. Netflix is also continuously raising prices, most recently
in January 2025 to $8/mo with ads or $18/mo without ads. Earlier this month, the CEO of HBO Max said the service remains underpriced.
