You can now watch the Apple TV streaming service in the Apple TV app on your Apple TV box. The company has rebranded Apple TV+.
The change was quietly mentioned in a footnote of Apple’s press release announcing the streaming premiere of F1 The Movie, but it is unlikely to be the last we hear about it.
- "Apple TV+ is now simply Apple TV, with a vibrant new identity," announced Apple.
Rumors suggest that Apple is preparing to launch a new Apple TV 4K streaming box soon, so more details about its future plans are likely on the way – we hope so because the current naming scheme is confusing.

Apple also confirmed that F1 The Movie will debut on Apple TV, formerly Apple TV+, as part of subscribers' plan on December 12, 2025.
The movie premiered in cinemas on June 25, 2025, marking a 170-day window – about five and a half months. However, it became available for digital purchase on August 22, 57 days after its theatrical debut.
F1 The Movie has grossed $629 million at the global box office and stands as the highest-grossing sports film to date.
It will be available to stream in up to 4K Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos sound.
