Almost every monitor maker has one these days. Monitors with extra wide LCD panels in the 21:9-format, originally intended for movies, offer lots of desktop space – at least in the horizontal plane.

Lenovo has announced its new 29-inch LT2934z at IFA 2013. It comes with the same type of AH-IPS panel as in Dell, NEC, Asus, Philips, and LG’s 21:9 monitors. The panel has 2560x1080 pixels, wide viewing angles, edge LED, and 100 % sRGB coverage.
Lenovo says that the matte black monitor also comes with an integrated full HD camera, USB 3.0 & 2.0 ports, DVI, D-SUB (VGA), MHL, a dual microphone, and a PiP (picture in picture) mode.
