Earlier this year, Panasonic unveiled two new OLED ranges, EZ950 and EZ1000. The new flagship EZ1000 is now available in 65” across Europe starting at Ł6000 / €7000. A 77” version will follow later.
"Hollywood to your home"
Competition in OLED will intensify this year. LG, Sony, Loewe, Philips, Bang & Olufsen, Toshiba, and Panasonic will launch TVs based on the new display technology. The Japanese manufacturer with the rich history says that it has created a TV with attention to even the minutest details.
EZ1000 is the new flagship from Panasonic. It is available now in 65“ and will be available in 77“ later. The company has collaborated with Hollywood in an effort to fine tune the TV to reproduce reference-level color accuracy. EZ1000 is also ’UHD Premium’ and ’THX 4K’ certified.
At the launch event in Las Vegas earlier this year, the Japanese manufacturer emphasized that it believes self-emitting display technologies are best positioned to achieve picture quality as the creator intended. The manufacturer, who is perhaps most famous for its plasma TVs, now has with OLED a new self-emitting display technology in its portfolio.

Now available in Europe
EZ1000 features 4K resolution and support for two HDR formats (HDR10 and HLG). Panasonic has so far chosen to ignore Dolby Vision but proclaims that its HCX2 picture engine will make HDR sparkle with intensity. The company added that it has also managed to reduce input lag.

Firefox OS, which Panasonic will continue to develop after Mozilla gave up, gives you access to apps such as Netflix, YouTube, and soon Amazon Video. The latter is not yet available but Panasonic has promised to bring Amazon to its 2017 TVs later this year. You can of course also connect media players via HDMI 2.0 including UHD Blu-ray players that can unlock the potential of the display.
Panasonic EZ1000 in Europe as a whole, EZ1002 in the UK, and EZW1004 in Germany is available now in 65”. The 77” version will be available later this year. The more affordable EZ950 range will launch soon.
