LG presents two TV series with focus on design, picture quality and user-friendliness. The new models are called SL8000 and SL9000. The latter also features LED. <br /><br />The two new TV ranges from LG called SL8000 and SL9000 offer innovative “Borderless” design. SL8000 has already won an EISA Award for “Best Value LCD-TV 2009-2010”. <br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/lgsl9000-1l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/lgsl9000-1.jpg" alt="LG SL9000" title="Click to enlarge"/></a><br><i>LG SL9000</i></p><br />- <i>“We want LG to be the top name in home entertainment. Both products break the accepted conventions of how TVs are supposed to look, opening up new possibilities for a future with true freedom in TV design says LG<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/lgsl9000-3l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/lgsl9000-3.jpg" alt="LG SL9000" title="Click to enlarge"/></a><br><i>LG SL9000</i></p><br />SL8000 has a depth of 4.5 cm, and the comming SL9000 is only 2.93 cm deep. The TVs have been placed on an elegant glass stand but you can also choose to wall-mount the set. <br /><br />SL8000 is equipped with LG's TruMotion 200 Hz Scanning Backlight, which gives a clearer and sharper image quality in fast moving sequences, such as sport and action movies. SL9000 features a LED backlighting technology. <br /><br />The TVs also feature an USB input, where you can connect an external memory with images, music and movies. SL8000 has no LED backlight but features 200 Hz technology.<br /><br />Other technical features: USB 2.0 with media player, Bluetooth, ISF Calibration Ready, a Picture Wizard and hidden speakers. <br /><br /><h3>Availability</h3> SL8000 is available now in sizes: 32-inch (32SL8000), 37-inch (37SL8000), 42-inch (42SL8000), 47-inch (47SL8000) and 55-inch (55SL8000).<br /><br />SL9000 will become available from October in 42-inches (42SL9000) and 47-inches (47SL9000).<br /><br />FlatpanelsHD will soon publish a review of the SL8000 series.
