BenQ has announced today that they will launch 9 new V series models from 18.5-inches to 24-inches, bringing the company’s total LED lineup to 23 models. The V920 model is just 14 mm thick.<br /><br /><h3>New BenQ V series</h3>BenQs new V series is a range of new monitors with LED backlight. Some of the models are slimmer than ever and the 18.5-inch V920 is the world’s slimmest at 14 mm. The bigger 22-inch V2220 has a frame with a depth of 15mm. <br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href=" pictures/benqv2220-1l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/benqv2220-1.jpg" alt="BenQ V2220 World’s slimmest" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>BenQ V2220</i></p><br />These models will be available:<br /><li>18.5”W - V920 / V920P<br /><li>21.5”W - V2220 / V2220P / V2220H / V2220HP<br /><li>23.0”W - V2320<br /><li>24.0”W - V2420 / V2420H <br /><br />The 23-inch and 24-inch models are not as slim as the smaller brothers. Other features include a Senseye technology providing different picture modes and an automatic light sensor that adjusts the LED backlight on the screen according to the surroundings. The V series also features HDMI 1.3 inputs in the H variants. <br /><br />BenQ mentions a 10.000.000:1 dynamic contrast ratio although the models might not provide us with more than 900-1000:1 in reality. Brightness is 250 cd/m2 and the resolution is Full HD 1920x1080 (1366x768 on the V920). Response time is 5 ms (g2g). All models has a TN panel.<br /><br />Futhermore the LED backlight will reduce power consumption considerably.<br /><br />The 18.5”, 21.5”, and 24” models will debut February and March in Taiwan, followed by the 23” in June. All models will then be available worldwide.
