Samsung launches new 24-inch BX2440X with LED

Samsung BX2440X is a new 24-inch monitor from Samsung with LED backlight (Edge LED). This ensures low energy consumption and BX2440X also has a discreet frame with ergonomic adjustability.

BX2440X is Samsung's new 24-inch screen that should appeal to home offices and surfing. The screen has a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels (16:9 aspect ratio) and a TN panel.

The design is discreet and minimalistic, and comes in glossy black plastic. The bezel around the LCD panel has been reduced and the stand provides ergonomic functions such as tilt and height adjustment.

Samsung also mentions a contrast ratio of 1000:1, 5 ms reponse time, 250 cd/m2 brightness and 170/160 viewing angles.

Samsung BX2440X incorporates DVI and D-SUB (VGA).

Samsung will also offer a 22-inch EX2220X, also with a LED backlight.

Both monitors are expected to ship soon. Expect a price of around 299 USD on BX2440x.
