Asus has released two new Blu-ray players with built-in network and internet features. Asus calls them O!Play BDS-500 and BDS-700. The latter comes with dual HDMI and integrated Wi-Fi.

Asus enters the Blu-ray market with two new multimedia Blu-ray players dubbed O!Play BDS-500 and BDS-700.

  • Qdeo video processor
  • 3D support
  • USB port, supports 45 media formats, including FLAC, wav & Aiif
  • Wi-Fi Ready
  • YouTube, Picasa, Flickr & internet radio
  • DLNA

    Asus BDS-700:
  • 2 HDMI outputs (1.4 for video/audio, 1.3 for audio-only)
  • Qdeo video processor
  • DAC with SNR 115dB

  • Built-in Wi-Fi
  • YouTube, Picasa, Flickr & internet radio
  • DLNA

    A smartphone remote App (iOS, Android, Blackberry & Symbian) is available for both Blu-ray players.

    Asus BDS-500 and BDS-700 will both be available in late 2011.
