Netflix releases its 2016 TV series schedule

In 2016, Netflix will significantly ramp on spending on new TV series and movies. The company has now released a list of premiere dates for new shows in 2016 as well as premiere dates for new seasons of House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Daredevil, and more.

Upcoming Netflix series

January will be pretty quiet but starting in February Netflix will debut hours of new content, including a good share of completely new shows.



In addition to those mentioned in Netflix’s video, you can expect new seasons of House of Cards, Daredevil, Marco Polo, and most other existing Netflix original series. Most of the series will be available in 4K quality and some in HDR quality.

List of new Netflix shows in 2016

So far, the following dates have been confirmed by Netflix.

  • Better Call Saul, season 2 – February 16
  • Fuller House, season 1 – February 26
  • House of Cards, season 4 – March 4
  • Flaked – komedieserie af Will Arnett – March 11
  • Daredevil, season 2 – March 18
  • The Ranch– April 1
  • Lost & Found Music Studio - April 1
  • Kong: King of the Apes – April 15
  • Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, season 2 – April 15
  • Marseille – May 5
  • Grace and Frankie, season 2 – May 6
  • Orange is the New Black, season 4 – June 17
  • Marco Polo, season 2 – June 2016
  • Stranger Things – July 15
  • The Get Down – August 12
  • Narcos, season 2 – in 2016

    Besides the new TV series, Netflix will debut a range of new movies in 2016, including some that will premiere in the cinema and on Netflix at the same time.
