AOC has unveiled the 25-inch AG251FZ monitor, which will be part of its AGON gaming series. It is the company’s first 240 Hz gaming monitor.
AOC’s first 240Hz gaming monitor
Asus and BenQ have both announced true 240Hz monitors, and from January AOC will join the pack.
AG251FZ is obviously targeted at gamers and besides the 240Hz panel it offers 1920x1080 resolution, FreeSync, and a 1ms TN LCD panel. It can be connected to the PC via HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2a as well as via legacy ports such as DVI and VGA. The latter two will not support 240Hz. Additionally, it has 4x USB ports for external devices.
The 25-inch monitor looks like any gaming monitor today with its red design details and sharp edges. The stand offers height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment. There is a small pointer arm on the right side of the frame for holding your headset. AOC adds that it is also flicker-free and has low input lag.
The company says that AG251FZ is one of the fastest monitors on the market today.
AOC AG251FZ will be available in Europe from January 2017 for around 500 Euro. More information is available at aoc-europe.com. No launch details for the US were announced.
