As it reaches smaller screen sizes, OLED technology starts to make inroads into monitors. Gigabyte is the latest brand to unveil its take on an OLED gaming monitor with the 48-inch Gigabyte Aorus FO48U monitor. The 48-inch 4K OLED monitor uses LG Display's panel just like the LG CX, which launched last year as the first 48-inch OLED with HDMI 2.1 features. LG CX is marketed mainly as a TV whereas Gigabyte is positioning its version as a pure gaming screen. - "Alongside with strong hardware specs, you can also find the exclusive AORUS tactical features on new AORUS 4K gaming monitor lineup including Aim Stabilizer, Dashboard, Black Equalizer, ANC 2.0 and other various game assist functions. All of these extra features help to elevate your gameplay to whole new level, promising more fun & delivers a new fresh gaming experience," the company said.

However, it is not clear if it will support optional HDMI 2.1 features like VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode). Gigabyte will announce further details and specifications closer to launch. Gigabyte also unveiled the 32-inch FI32U and 43-inch FV43U. The former has an IPS LCD panel while the latter has a VA LCD panel, both with 144Hz support. Both also feature HDMI 2.1. Pricing and availability details will be announced later.
