The new Pannde PD-6 Ultra HD Blu-ray player supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It is a high-end model with dual HDMI output that spins DVD-Audio and SACD too.

Pannde UHD Blu-ray

Chinese company Pannde has unveiled a new premium UHD Blu-ray player, PD-6, with brushed aluminum front design. Pannde also offers a more conventional and cheaper UHD Blu-ray player called PD-670. PD-6 conforms to the Ultra HD Blu-ray specification so it supports 4K resolution, HDR10, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X. On top, Pannde has added support for Dolby Vision, DVD-Audio and SACD. It also plays Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, DVD, and CD as well as media files from the USB 3.0 port or your home network.

Pannde PD-6

The player is based on a MediaTek MT8581 system chip and uses a Sony disc loader. Curiously, Pannde lists PD-6 as having a 'dual operating system' based on Oppo UDP-205 and Pioneer LX800. Like other premium players, PD-6 has dual HDMI output for separate video and audio streams. In addition, there are two analog XLR outputs as well as two RCA outputs.

Pannde PD-6

Unlike the Reavon UHD Blu-ray players, Pannde's PD-6 actually looks like a premium build but we will have to wait for customers to get their hands on it to know for sure. The Pannde PD-6 will be sold in Europe through specialty retailers such as CineUltra.eu. Official pricing details were not listed but we expect it to approach 2000 Euro, if not more.
