Netflix raises prices again – 4K plan is now $20/month

If you want Netflix's 4K, HDR and Dolby Atmos streaming you now have to pay $20 per month. Netflix is raising its prices again on all plans in North America.

Netflix in 2022

Netflix's basic plan (without HD, 1 stream) will increase in price from $9 to $10 per month, the standard plan (with HD, 2 streams) from $14 to $15.50 per month, and the premium plan (with 4K, 4 streams) from $18 to $20 per month. At this time, the price will go up in the US and Canada but Netflix's price adjustment in its home country is often the first step towards a more widespread adjustment. The last time Netflix raised its prices in North America was in October 2020. - "We understand people have more entertainment choices than ever and we're committed to delivering an even better experience for our members," the company said in a statement. "We're updating our prices so that we can continue to offer a wide variety of quality entertainment options. As always we offer a range of plans so members can pick a price that works for their budget." Netflix's 4K plan is now $20 per month. Competitors like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+ and Disney+ do not charge extra for the highest streaming quality. The new prices will go into effect immediately for new subscribers while existing subscribers will get a 30-day notice.
