Apple and Sony are extending their Apple TV+ free trial offer first introduced for PlayStation 5 owners to include PlayStation 4 owners from all regions.
Free Apple TV+
Sony says that the offer is valid only for new subscribers to Apple TV+ and that it must be redeemed by July 22, 2022, directly on the PlayStation 4 consoles. All PS4 versions are eligible including PS4 Pro.
- "Discover even more to love on your PS4 console with three months extended trial access to Apple TV+," said Sony Interactive Entertainment, North America. "Redeem your offer between now and July 22, 2022 and start watching critically acclaimed Apple Original series like Ted Lasso, See and Foundation, as well as hit films like Finch."
PS5 owners from all regions can also still redeem the offer – until July 22, 2022.
In North America, parts of Europe and other regions, PS4 owners get three free months of Apple TV+ while PS4 owners in the Nordics and some other regions get six free months of access. Check your regional playstation.com page here. Apple TV+ will renew at $5, €5 or £5 per month after the extended trial.

As far as we can tell, the offer is valid in all regions where Apple TV+ is available.
To get started you simply have to download the Apple TV app from the PS4's TV and Video section and follow the on-screen instructions. You can use your existing Apple ID or create a new.
You can sign up on your PS4 console and afterwards use the account on any device, which is something you should consider since PlayStation 4 consoles lack support for 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos – and have very high power consumption during video streaming.
