After Samsung and Dell kickstarted the OLED gaming monitor market last year with 34-inch QD-OLED monitors, LG will finally launch WOLED gaming monitors starting at $1000.
LG unveiled the 45-inch ultra-wide 1440p 45GR95QE – its first 240Hz OLED gaming monitor – in August. The company has now confirmed that it will cost $1700. A special pre-order offer will be revealed on December 12 and the monitor is estimated to ship in the US on December 28.
LG's other 240Hz OLED gaming monitor is the 27-inch 16:9 1440p 27GR95QE that was unveiled earlier this month. It will cost $1000 but there is once again a special pre-order offer that will be revealed on December 12. It too will ship on December 28 in the US.

Even better monitors in 2023
Despite these monitors still carrying a premium price, it is exciting to see the PC monitor market finally enter the next phase.
And 2023 is shaping up to get even more interesting.
The first 240Hz QD-OLED monitors will launch next year and we expect a 32-inch WOLED panel to also emerge in the near future. We may even get high-resolution QD-OLED monitors soon.
