Sony confirms that it will not announce the 2023 TV line-up at CES this year. The new TVs will instead be unveiled at a separate event later this spring.

Sony has provided the following statement to The Verge:

- "Sony will not be sharing any TV details during CES 2023. However, please stay tuned for an upcoming announcement coming soon."

A Sony Europe spokesperson tells FlatpanelsHD that a separate Sony event will be held "later this spring" to unveil the 2023 TV line-up.

What is Sony planning? We can only speculate. There is the brighter 2023 QD-OLED panel and the MLA-based WOLED panel, so we hope to see one or both show up in Sony's new TVs.

Instead, Sony is expected to showcase the PlayStation VR2 headset. The company's CES press event is scheduled for later today.
