Apple has finally officially acknowledged the Siri remote connectivity issue on Apple TV 4K (2022) and addressed it with a new tvOS 16.3.3 software update.
An ongoing problem since the launch of the Apple TV 4K (2022) in November 2022 has been the Siri remote control losing its Bluetooth connection which requires the box to be power-cycled. FlatpanelsHD was first to report on the issue in December 2022.
The Bluetooth connectivity issue also affected all Bluetooth game controllers. Apple fixed the Bluetooth issue with game controllers with tvOS 16.3 but the Siri remote issue remained for many users.
Apple has now released tvOS 16.3.3:
- "This update fixes an issue where the Siri Remote can become unresponsive on Apple TV 4K (3rd generation)," said Apple.
The software update is available now for the Apple TV 4K (2022). Please let us know if it fixes the issue at your end.
