Apple has kicked off the new initiative with Ed Sheeran and says that all future Apple Music Live performances will be available to stream on Apple TV+.
The so-called Apple Music Live sessions have returned for a second season that will also appear on Apple TV+ with video in glorious 4K resolution and Dolby Vision HDR as well as Dolby Atmos audio to let to listen on a home theatre system or in spatial audio with Apple AirPods.

The first concert in the new format was Ed Sheeran's Eventim Apollo performance in London on May 10. Besides live streaming, the concert is available to stream on-demand for 1 month until June 9.
- "Sheeran’s Apple Music Live performance will debut on Wednesday, May 10, at noon PST on Apple Music at apple.co/AMLEdSheeran. Plus, for the first time, the performance — and all future Apple Music Live performances — will also be available to stream on Apple TV+," announced Apple.
"The biggest stars"
The company said that Apple Music Live gives "the biggest stars in music a stage to connect with audiences around the world".
Artists from season 1 include Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys, Lil Durk, Mary J. Blige, Luke Combs and Wizkid. However, season 1 was not available to stream on Apple TV+.
Apple added that behind-the-scenes footage, the setlist, and more exclusive content can be found in the Shazam app after the live performance.
