TCL's new 98-inch models will start at 2500 Euro while the flagship 98-inch X955 will cost 8000 Euro. FlatpanelsHD can also confirm the number of dimming zones for the various sizes.
China's TCL is shaking up the market for large-sized displays and more information about the next-generation of the LCD TVs continues to trickle out.
FlatpanelsHD had already confirmed that C805, C955 and X955 will be TCL's first with the Pentonic 700 chip. We have now received confirmation that the 98-inch P745 (without local dimming) will also feature the Pentonic 700 – the smaller P745 sizes will not.
In the table below you can see the number of dimming zones for each size of the miniLED LCD TVs as well as the suggested retail prices for Europe. TCL emphasized that these are indicative Euro launch prices that will differ between countries based on local VAT and other factors, but it should give you a rough idea.
